so much yet has happened this day yet so little to write......
but had a greaattt great sunday. hehz......when i visited esther and DF @ esther's home....yeah......i actually took a lot of effort to come from suntec to grange road.....so inthe end....was talking with her about life issues as usual.....then DF joined us and we ate lots at food centre....met Jeanette and her parents....(childhood friend) heh...they're doin fine, very happy and all. i dunno, i just already can tell how much i'll miss my freedom days this coming 2 semesters.,...
sigh yeah but it'll be back to sloggerland this july....in sch. and this time round, i'll be a praying student, no more a wat-goes-around-comes-around person. remembering what Matt See said "Are we christians who happen to be students or students who happen to be christians?" profound.

Yet, looking at last sem, there was a lot to be thankful about that i was too blind to see. like solid friends who were around....

too distracted by the many things.......when only ONE THING was NEEDED.
annoying people who suaned me abt a person cld be handled with nice-ness
i guess the call for perseverance does apply in whole of next year and i believe my stand will be tested.

So......we had one of those tri/bi-annual outings

Going back to basics, i have no idea how to start on how i met this wonderful buncha people....who share the same faith as me, who laugh a lot, who bear one another's burdens (not all the time, but we are aware of the 'big' needs when they arrive) who come from all different backgrounds. i guess we all were somehow on the mirc #christian channel 3 yrs back (2002)......some of us at least. at that time, most of us were undergoing some paradigm shifts in life. and i was the dreamer of the group, joining them on their email chains, adding some input occasionally.
================================================================================================
so yesterday.... very farney man!
i just had to bump into debbie, beeling and their usual adult gang at the very place i wanted to intro our gang to. 'Phil's steak' (which i found out from Isaac that it had a case of causing severe food poisoning to many ppl in once last time)
arggghhhhhhhh.........if only i had just been cool and stepped forward to say hi! i was so stunned i just stood there and went "help help my pastors r there" to the gang. i think i pulled gordan (as he is 'wide' enuff) to block their view of me. so obviously they noticed me even more.....in the end we ate at thai zhi cha kopitiam, and i had to go back to say a proper hi to them. :P
i noticed some of us didnt talk much lei or didn't get a chance to share so much lah. well......not to worry........the next time whoever organising, prepare more sharing. we did share some meaningful stuff like about mission trips and daniel ng's gg on one in june. philippines. i shared about Polpot's torture chamber lah....sometimes i wonder why history is so horrid but yet people have remained strong and faithful to God.

yeah and heavenly Dad really sees ok. no kidding.....last week he knew it was a really really really bad week for me and He just makes up for it by sending so much encouragement! like how our SembCorp team (8 of us chapalang-ly formed) got together last min to do up a hamster cage....in 3 days....which we NEVER thot would win anything.....and guess what?? WE GOT 2ND IN THE COMPETITION ON SATURDAY!!!!

(bible study)

I met her like 3 times this week. so unexpected, yet memories of the past year at sch came back and i was surprised that i was so composed and not angry at all inside. things have really changed yet i was able to look at her and talk to her, not out of resentment as was in the past. why did i have to bump into her 3 times this week. but i sincerely pray we'll both b sincere friends lah by 2006 may. ok, yesterday a friend commented that my blog was all about people and rships, as in people-and-people. haha, u are right, it is. here on earth, it's all about people, if not, God. truth is, every young person in his/her twenties bothers about BGR. even tho' they dun mention it.

had a nice time at another church's B.S. which i gatecrashed yest evening. erm.......was stuck with bunch of enthusiastic youths my age all 'Amen'ing to what their pastor said....i amened too......as there was one verse that really resounded to me.......i mean......seriously, when i hear both the grace and the law messages.....i realise the debate never ends and it really depends on situation by situation case...
i liked the part he talked about when Jesus hung there on the cross and the thief spoke to Him "Lord, remember me when u come into ur kingdom."
" i assure u today, u will be with me in paradise."
Luke 23:42,43
i mean, this man knew that he deserved to die for his sin but not Jesus....
yet Jesus' redemption was immediate to him.
of course....there's a difference between someone who knew the truth all along yet disobeyed and someone who JUST found the truth.......

Didn't expect ur presence
thru the tough patch
In that ugly place
but you showed up.

times when i was just doing all the shit jobs
Alone at the Dump site,
really thot i wouldn't make it thru the hours.

it was in that quiet place
the place of nothingness
in the hollow silence of Nobody's voice
you were there...
you spoke to me.

times when i'm so full of myself....
so immersed in the pressure,
in the mad crazed system of the world
you sent wake-up calls.

Nice quotes of the day:
  • Blogs are one of the best inventions of this decade.
  • Life's too short, be original. =)
  • The hope to keep on going for the causes has returned. amen.
i've got one Question:

Does even godly advice / advice from godly people have to be filtered?
