Nice quotes of the day:
  • Blogs are one of the best inventions of this decade.
  • Life's too short, be original. =)
  • The hope to keep on going for the causes has returned. amen.
i've got one Question:

Does even godly advice / advice from godly people have to be filtered?

Answer to your Question:

Yes, because 'Godly' people with 'Godly' advice are still human.

Everything has to be filtered through the Spirit.
"Dear friends, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world." -1John 4:1

I'm not saying that these people are 'false prophets' per se. Just that they are still human and you should still test all things in the Light of the Word and thropugh prayer.

Wow hey thanks for the answer, whoever you are. yeah i believe Christians gotta be Spirit-led. just that, i mean, if it's like when the senior Pastor speaks...his words are like, anointed lah. so...it's a bit hard to question him. like, er....how to.

Sorry, I forgot to put my name.... again....

It's me, Jeffrey.... the old guy from NTU...

And if you feel your pastor said something wrong, ask him about it... don't point it out as though it was a mistake, just ask.

Remember: "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity." - 1Tim 4:12

And "All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness" 2Tim 3:16

Just ask and discuss with him what he said, pointing out what you have read from scripture and why you feel what you feel.

Just also remember: " Young men, in the same way be submissive to those who are older. All of you, clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because,
"God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."" - 1Peter 5:5
