events
tis so strange...i just turned up for a jogging event today with some church frens Joline, Weirong, Jeremy, Kailu, Isabel and i jogged 8km from Kailun's place to Esplanade n strolled back...the great thing was....seeing the nicer sister-brother side of people during the jog......like how one of us was tired and had to slow down a lot and two others walked with her even though they wanted to burn calories...its hard to put a word to this kinda kindness/camaraderie. and how one of them knew i had to rush off as a mini-problem cropped up and she listened to the problem and helped.

Post-misssion trip
basically quite a lot of us felt a bit down...but....thing is......a short term mission is soo different from a long term one...i mean a long term one is gonna be living somewhere else, adjusting to lifestyle, accepting it when they keep on rejecting the gospel....not for one year, not 10 years maybe even 20 years, 30 years? and this is more than counting the number of bibles given......it's counting sitting down and listening to the full gospel....and it's getting rejected by masses of multitudes of people.....even.......suffering for it. watching this video by one famous Christian writer, during the trip, we learnt this
"suffering is not one of the ways for the gospel to be preached, it is the means for the gospel to be preached". he quoted the examples of Japanese misisonaries being crucified upside down then drowned in the sea before there was a revival in that japanese island.
believe me, we were all given a pretty big share of rejections by the China tourists too. but this gave us courage....to face.....more.

What is the big deal about winning??
can someone tell me??
so what....if you win the biggest game in the world called......SETTLERS (a board game on gaining resources)? or the world cup? (actually that was a pretty big or expensive rather...heh)
Okok, fine.....i got 5th out of 6 players in the game.....when i played it at VEASP (very exciting and special programme) this evening with my mission teammates and Joyseng, a cru staff. boo hoo hoo....i just didn't wanna compete lah....i would seriously rather enjoy the whole game rather than WIN.....
i mean look at it this way....the idea of a board game, is like the game of finding your future mate, the fun lies in the finding.....that's what my senior pastor preached!! so.....that's it!! when my friend, Xianfeng's boardgame comes out...i'll make sure i'm an integral part of the ideas part and MAKE SURE there objective is NOT winning....but the fun of the game itself...
